Each year, the scouts of Pack 38 participate in great events such as:

bullet South Lyon Pumpkinfest:   Each year, the Pack builds a float to enter in the Pumpkinfest Parade, and we walk in the parade as a group.  Parents and siblings are welcome to walk as well.  In 2003, we were awarded "Best Float" in our category!
bullet Scout Night at the Plymouth Whalers:   Every fall, the Plymouth Whalers OHL hockey team designates a home game as "Scout Night"  boys come, in uniform, and see fantastic action on the ice, as well as great activities between periods.
bullet Scouting for Food:   As part of our ongoing commitment to the community, Pack 38 participates in an annual canned food drive.  All collected food is donated to Active Faith, a South Lyon-based organization specializing in helping those in need.  This year, the food drive will be held in the spring, rather than the fall.
bullet Holiday Party:  In December, we celebrate the upcoming holiday season with a gathering for the entire family, with an emphasis on holiday crafts and snacks.
bullet Pinewood Derby:   A favorite for many years, our annual Pinewood Derby is held each spring.  Kits are provided for the boys, and they are expected to do all possible work on their cars.  For those Dads that feel the need to prove their superior engineering skills, we hold a "Geezer Derby" with no rules - anything goes!
bullet Space Derby:   Boys make and race propeller-driven "rockets" in this race, held each Winter.
bullet Blue & Gold Banquet:   Held each year on the anniversary of Scouting, the Blue & Gold Banquet is a celebration of the values of scouting.  Parents, siblings, grandparents and friends are welcome to join us for a catered dinner, entertainment and special awards.  Tickets to this event are sold for a nominal fee.
bullet Camp Overnighter:   Our biggest (and most looked-forward-to) event of the year.  In early June, scouts (and their families) camp out.  Scouts particpate in many great events, including the end-of-year outdoor Pack Meeting and bonfire.  The favorite event of most boys.
